Access for everyone
Accessibility statement
This statement applies to Tailored Deals at www.tailoreddeals.info. We want disabled visitors to be able to search, compare and open deal information without needing a mouse or a particular input method.
Our accessibility target and current status
Tailored Deals is designed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA (WCAG 2.2 AA). The shared site templates include keyboard operation, visible focus, meaningful headings and landmarks, text alternatives, colour contrast, zoom and reflow, minimum target sizing and reduced-motion support.
We are not claiming independent certification or perfect conformance. This is a large, changing catalogue that also uses third-party advertising, affiliate destinations and product data. We treat accessibility as an ongoing requirement and publish known limitations below instead of presenting an automated score as a guarantee.
What visitors should be able to do
- Use skip links to move directly to the main content or footer.
- Operate navigation, search, filters, pagination, sharing and voucher copying with a keyboard.
- See a strong focus indicator and close open navigation menus with Escape.
- Zoom and reflow content without horizontal scrolling at common mobile widths.
- Use screen-reader labels, status announcements and semantic headings, lists and landmarks.
- Use dark mode, forced-colour mode and reduced-motion browser preferences.
- Increase text size and zoom content without losing the core search, filter or deal information.
Known limitations
- Retailer pages, third-party landing pages and checkout flows are third-party services. We provide meaningful link names, but we cannot control their accessibility after you leave Tailored Deals.
- Advertising is supplied by Google AdSense. Ads may create third-party frames at runtime even though Tailored Deals does not author iframe content in its page templates.
- Product photographs and descriptions can originate in retailer or retailer catalogue data. We add descriptive alternative text around images, but cannot guarantee the accessibility of the source asset.
- Google Translate opens an external translated copy whose rendering and accessibility are controlled by Google.
How we tested the website
The site was most recently reviewed on 8 August 2026. Representative homepage, catalogue, country, category, deal, product, policy, feed and error templates are checked after site changes. Automated checks cover structural rules, while keyboard order, focus visibility, menu behaviour, form labels, reflow and status messages are reviewed at the shared-template level.
Because automated accessibility tools can disagree or report content injected by third parties, their results are treated as evidence to investigate rather than as a substitute for manual testing. Tailored Deals has not yet commissioned an independent WCAG audit.
Report an accessibility problem
If anything prevents you from using Tailored Deals, email Ryan.jowitt17@gmail.com or use the contact page. Include the page address, what you were trying to do and the browser or assistive technology used. Do not include passwords or payment details.
Technical approach and reference guidance
Pages use semantic HTML, CSS and JavaScript with progressive server rendering for the main content. The implementation is informed by GOV.UK guidance on WCAG 2.2 and the W3C WCAG 2.2 quick reference.
