A sheltered porch is not a substitute for following that advice. Lighting should reveal trip hazards without dazzling neighbouring pitches. Position a stable lamp for shared tasks and keep personal lights reachable; avoid loose cables across access routes. Before leaving, account for pegs and small parts, extinguish or disconnect permitted cooking equipment, separate rubbish and recycling as the site requires, and take damp equipment home for prompt drying. Photographing the packed groups can make the return load easier. Write three lists after the trip—used, unused and missing—so the next weekend becomes smaller and better informed instead of triggering a broad post-trip shopping spree.
