Save at natural breaks and check the synchronisation state before moving between locations. Do not assume an open browser tab proves that the latest edits are stored remotely. If something fails, keep the error details and contact the lending or IT team promptly. Explain that the machine is borrowed so they can use the right support process.

Close the session deliberately

Confirm the final work is accessible from its intended destination, then sign out according to the institution's instructions. Collect your own storage device and accessories. Return the loan on time and retain any return confirmation provided. Report a fault honestly so the next borrower does not inherit an unexplained problem.

Use the experience to inform any later purchase. If the borrowed computer met your course needs, it may provide a useful specification reference. If it did not, record the exact limitation. A loan is most valuable when it reveals a practical requirement, rather than prompting an expensive replacement based on a general impression.
